It possesses a light ring of 8, tenor 65 lbs. in C cast by Taylors of Loughborough in 1996, a dumb bell designed to simulate the behaviour of a tower bell of some 3-4 cwt for handling practice, and a simulator which can be connected to this dumb bell for individual method practice. Parking in LUDLOW is awkward and is all pay and display. It is suggested that you allow yourselves plenty of time!
From Hereford on the A49
Stay on the A49 to the first major roundabout. The Travel Lodge and Harry Tuffins are on the left.
Take the first exit – Sheet Road. Stay on this road, under the railway bridge and up into Galdeford, passing the police station on the left.
At the top of the hill the road curves round to the right at the Co-op. Immediately after the Co-op turn left into the car park (ample space on lower levels). If you come to the lights you have gone too far but you can turn left and then left again into the car park!
From Shrewsbury on the A49.
Stay on the A49 to the first major roundabout. Take the third exit into Henley Road. Continue along this road to a mini-roundabout by the big grey Catholic church. At the roundabout turn left onto Gravel Hill.
At the lights turn right onto Station Drive. Turn left immediately into the car park (ample space on lower levels).
To St Lawrence’s Church
Once you have parked walk towards the Library (large new building). Follow the building round. At the front of the building by the library steps turn left along a short arcade of shops into Corve Street. Cross the road and go into the old coach opening in The Bull pub. Continue along the side of the pub and take the steps up. Facing you at the top is the back of the church. Turn left and follow the church round to the main entrance. There is a loo in the church!
For those will internet access there is a useful map on www.ludlowtourism.co.uk/ludlow click on Links for map.
TENBURY
A little parking close to the church, but there is a car park off the High Street which is pay and display but if you go through the car park, and over the bridge, the part by the swimming pool is free. Your choice.
BROMYARD there is parking in the church grounds, and it is easier enough to walk back to the Falcon in the High Street.
As you enter Bromyard from Tenbury you come to a T junction. Turn left and left again at the next T junction, go passed the car park, round the corner and into the church grounds. (You will have passed the top of the High St. on your right.)
